Paid ads setup

Connect NotFair paid-ad accounts and establish reusable campaign context.

How to use it

Claude Code
  1. Run the line below. It pulls the whole folder into ~/.claude/skills/paid-ads-setup.
  2. Describe your job in plain words. Claude Code follows the skill from there.
Claude Code — installs the whole folder, not just SKILL.md
npx degit nowork-studio/notfair-plugin/paid-ads/paid-ads-setup#main ~/.claude/skills/paid-ads-setup

For one project only, change the path to .claude/skills/paid-ads-setup.

Claude (web or desktop app)
  1. On this page open ⋯ → Download .md.
  2. Save it as SKILL.md in a folder, zip the folder, then Customize → Skills → + → Create skill → Upload a skill.
  3. Pick the file and Save. Claude shows the name and description and runs a security scan.
  4. Check the skill is switched on.
  5. Start a new chat and describe your job in plain words. The AI follows the skill from there.
ChatGPT or another app
  1. ChatGPT: make a Project and paste it into Instructions.
  2. Neither? Paste it at the top of a new chat — it works for that chat.
Not working?
  • Check which app you pasted it into — the steps above name the right one.
  • Some skills need the paid tier of Claude or ChatGPT.

Paid Ads Setup

Read ../shared/operating-contract.md. Do not alter campaigns during setup.

Establish access

  1. Follow ../../docs/mcp-connection.md. Use its current instructions and capability descriptions to choose tools, and verify the requested platform and account from live data. Do not infer access from another connected platform.
  2. List only accounts actually returned by the connected surface. Let the user select the intended account when more than one is available; never infer it from an account name.
  3. For Amazon and ChatGPT Ads, check the available tools before proposing a connection. If no verified connector exists, request a current export or describe the plan-only boundary.

Capture decision-quality context

Read project documents that are clearly marketing-relevant, then ask only for gaps that data cannot establish:

  • product, offer, geography, and primary conversion;
  • unit economics: target CPA or break-even ROAS, margin, and customer value;
  • approved claims, differentiators, exclusions, and brand voice;
  • monthly budget, launch constraints, seasonality, and competitors;
  • landing-page URLs and analytics/tracking owner.

Use the Google and Meta audit skills to persist account-specific business context where supported. For X, LinkedIn, Reddit, and TikTok, report the selected account and context without inventing a persistence surface. Do not overwrite an existing AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md, or project instructions as a side effect of setup. Offer a clearly marked paid-media context file only after the user approves the exact location and content.

Finish with a gap register

Report connected platforms, selected accounts, verified conversion signals, available date range, and the smallest next action. State missing tracking, economics, claim proof, or platform access explicitly. Hand off to /notfair:paid-ads-review for a baseline, /notfair:paid-ads-launch for a new campaign, or the platform audit for a deeper diagnosis.
