Is there a social media agent that doesn't sound like a bot?

Asked on Reddit r/AI_Agents · rewritten without usernames ·

I've tried several AI tools that promise to run social accounts: write posts, schedule them, reply to comments. Everything they produce reads as obviously machine-written, and the replies are worse. Is there a setup that posts and replies in a way that sounds like a real person?

Split the job in two. Scheduling and posting is plumbing, and agents do it well. Writing in your voice is the hard part, and no tool does it from a blank page; it needs examples of how you actually write.

For the plumbing, an MCP server that talks to a scheduling service lets Claude or another client queue posts across platforms from one conversation. You stay the one who presses approve, which matters more for replies than for posts.

For the voice, give the model ten or so of your real posts as examples, then run each draft through an editing pass that strips the common AI tells: stock openers, triple lists, vague superlatives. That pass is where most of the robotic feel goes away.

Auto-replying to comments without review is where accounts get hurt. Let the agent draft replies, and read them before they go out.
